The flag of Equatorial Guinea was adopted in 1979 and uses a 2:3 ratio. The flag is composed of three equal horizontal stripes. From top to bottom these stripes are green, white, and red. A light blue isosceles triangle has its base congruent with the left side of the flag and an apex stretching to one quarter the width of the flag. Centered in remaining three-fourths of the white stripe is the country’s coat of arms, which features a tree, stars, and a scroll with the national motto.
