Kisii (better known as Gusii) is a Bantu language spoken by around 1.5 million people in the Kisii district of Western Kenya near its border with Tanzania. The district is centered on Kisii Town between Kavirondo Gulf and Lake Victoria). Kisii is a part of the Niger-Congo language family, and Kisii is one of two languages spoken widely in its region.
