Bulgarian differs from other Slavic languages in the fact that is does not use case declension, definite articles, and there is no verb infinitives. The two dialects are the Eastern and Western and only slightly vary from each other.
Bulgarian words are generally spelt the exact way that they sound and double negatives are considered grammatically correct in this language. There is not a use of a single negative. The alphabet first started out as a Glagolitic one and then transitioned into a Cyrillic alphabet. After different variations and fluctuating from 28 to 44 different letters, it was finally settled that Bulgarian will have 30 letters.
The Bulgarian language has an extensive vocabulary that is used to explain family relationships. The biggest sector inside family relationships is aunts and uncles with the most variation of words.
