About the Tachelhit Language:
The language has been written a few different ways spanning out over the years. This seems to be a similar trait throughout the Berber languages. The dominant script that the language was written in was Arabic but has evolved to the Tifinagh alphabet over recent years. Many of the population have not completely learned the new system so they still rely on the old system of writing. The literature in this language is rich and there are many stories that involve different animals and fable stories. The language consists of three phonemic vowels and 33 phonemic consonants. There are also both male and female genders for pronouns and are distinguished between the two.
This language has been written since the 11th century. Muhammad Azwal was considered one of the best and most influential poets.
