Many high school students now recognize the great rewards, both personally and financially, that the translation and interpretation industry can offer. Christian Junker is one of those students who is a junior at a prestigious American high school where he plays the E-flat clarinet for their All State orchestra.
Only 17% of all students who audition make All State, therefore, only the best of the best are selected for this honor. Christian practiced from an hour to 90 minutes a day since last summer in preparation for this tough audition.
Christian proclaimed, "There was a point in the middle when I really wanted to quit." However, Christian persevered and tediously practiced the same music scales over and over again.
This type of dedication will serve him well in his future, as he plans to play for a pit band or orchestra, while pursuing a career in the field of language translation and interpretation.
