In a tough economy, it is hard to sell anything to governmental or private agencies. Nevertheless, interpretation and translations services are necessary in the legal and medical industries. Such services can be expensive initially, but in the long run can save an organization money.
The biggest clients for interpretation and interpretation services are state and local health services that maintain a diverse clientele. Many believe that Spanish is probably the most translated language; however, in some parts of the United States, Russian interpreters are in high demand.
Overall, dozens of languages are now being interpreted and translated by companies who specialize in these services. What many need to understand, however, is that interpreters are not advocates for clients and do not represent them in any way. They act as a voice for the client to speak to other and inform the client what is being said.
Those in the industry believe there has been resistance and bias against interpretations services, however, many have begun to accept the service as a necessity in today's diverse society.
