Success Story: U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

Technovate Translations is known across North America for both the speed and the accuracy of our translations. What you may not know is that we're trusted by some of the largest and most powerful organizations in the United States and Canada to produce legal translations for them. Recently, we were contacted by a governmental organization about producing rush legal translations for use in legal proceedings and other government business. This included both certified and non-certified translation and transcription services.

The organization is a government division with national oversight powers whose operations are carried out by field offices across the country. As a result of the organization's heavy workload, limited budget, and need for high quality translations on short deadlines, they turned to Technovate Translations to help get materials translated fast. As always, we delivered.

We were able to produce certified and non-certified translations and transcriptions to meet the organization's tight deadlines. The organization was so impressed with our speed and accuracy that they told us they plan to continue using Technovate Translations for their translation and transcription needs for the foreseeable future. Additionally, the division we worked with has recommended our services to all of the organization's national field offices.

Great Project Management Keeps Emerging and Power Users Happy!

Technovate Translations Project Management

As our company has grown, so too has the variety of our clients grown. In corporate business translation services, our clients can be divided into two general types: emerging translation users and power translation users. We know that while the company foots the bill, the real client is the person we work with and interact with at the company. That's why we put so much emphasis on relationship building and looking at our corporate contact's needs along with what their company is looking for.

The Emerging User

Our emerging users share several characteristics that we use to evaluate their needs:

  • Usually new to the industry and the need for translation
  • Order once or twice per year
  • Not familiar with industry lingo or the questions to ask
  • Tend to look to lean on someone for advice and instructions
  • Deadlines given are usually longer in nature
  • Often part of smaller, growing operations
  • Otherwise, they gather information for a committee or decision makers at larger firms

The Power User

On the other side of the spectrum are power translation users. Here are some of their characteristics:

  • Very knowledgeable about the industry
  • Understand the industry lingo
  • Price sensitive as their needs for translation are greater
  • Order 12 to 50 times per year
  • Work with a variety of different service providers
  • Have one person in charge of procuring translation services
  • Prefer to manage a project closely with regular updates

How Difficult is it to Learn a New Language
Although English is the most prevalent language in the world, there are literally hundreds of other languages out there that are being spoken every day.

Translation Team Available 24 Hours

The emerging user can grow into a power user once their company begins to need more translation services.

However, at far too many companies translation is seen as an afterthought or an obstacle on route to a goal: They're simply trying to communicate with their customers, so why should it have to be hard?

In many ways success in the translation industry relies on proper project management. Ensuring that translators deliver work on time and with high quality means carefully managing every step of the project and using trained quality control specialists to review every document.

Serving the customer with urgency and care goes far beyond just ensuring our final product's quality. We take great care when hiring all of our translators so that their skill and experience will always ensure the quality of translation. Our translators' skills and our team's project management keep both our emerging and power users happy and returning to us time and again.

How Difficult is it to Learn a new Language?

Why Should You Learn a New Language?

Although English is the most prevalent language in the world, there are literally hundreds of other languages out there that are being spoken every day. Communicating with people and businesses across the nations from one language to another can only be done if people understand each other, which very often is done through translations.

But what if you were to learn a completely new language yourself? What if you could communicate directly with other people or businesses across the globe simply by speaking the same language without having to take the time to translate? Many people will have different reasons to take up a foreign language, including emigration, travel, linguistic interest, or businesses dealing with foreign consumers or other businesses abroad. Whatever the reason, learning a new language might be easier and quicker than you think.

How Difficult is it to Learn a New Language?

Many people have contemplated learning a new language, but many times don't actually go through with these intentions because of their conceptions of how difficult or time-consuming it might be. The truth is, the process of learning a new language is a rather quick and simple one.

As published in The Journal of Neuroscience, scientists in the UK discovered that with constant repetition of new words, the brain develops a network of neurons whose distinctive task is to remember these new words. After listening to a word 160 times, subjects in a Cambridge study were able to remember that word after a long period of time. Simple repetition is all that is required to learn a new language.

Tips to Learning a Foreign Language

If you have decided to learn a new language, there are a variety of ways to make the learning process easier and more effective. The following are 5 tips and strategies to help you become a fluent speaker of a new language quickly and efficiently:

  1. Listen to the new language repeatedly
  2. Speak the new language
  3. Make flash cards
  4. Listen to music
  5. Read and write

Learning a new language takes some time and dedication, but it is something that is easily attainable. With a little practice and basic repetition, you can learn a new language faster than you thought possible!
